Matias Programmable Ergo Pro Keyboard EN for Mac

The Ergo Pro from Matias is a high-quality, professional, ergonomic keyboard that can be divided into two segments.

As with most ergonomic keyboards, the dividing line on the Ergo Pro is between the 5 and the 6, the T and the Z, the G and the H and the B and the N. If the two keyboard parts are directly next to each other, the Ergo Pro is as close as possible to a normal keyboard with a recognizable dividing line.

The keyboard parts can be positioned up to 55 cm apart.

The two keyboard sections can be positioned at an angle, with a total of 6 feet allowing several options for lateral and horizontal inclination depending on the position. Of course, a flat position is also possible when the stands are completely folded in. Comfortable, removable, wide gel pads, also with stand, for optimum hand support complement the ergonomic design of the Matias keyboard.

The Ergo Pro uses in-house developed Quiet-Click switches, tactile switches that are based on the black Alps-SKBM switches, but are additionally muted. This results in a pleasant typing sensation that is not too loud and should therefore not cause any noise in an office. The switches react from a pressure of 60 grams, the pressure point is in the first third of the travel distance.

Dedicated hotkeys for the 4 most important shortcuts - cut, cut, copy and paste - are already pre-programmed to be ready for immediate use. Reprogramming is simple and requires no special software. The 12 function keys, the side hotkeys, the split space bar and some other keys are all programmable.

Matias also solves the problem of navigation key placement on ergonomic keyboards. Matias has arranged the navigation keys in their traditional pattern, but positioned horizontally and along the bottom row, similar to a laptop keyboard.

Thanks to the unique navigation cluster, the Ergo Pro is not as wide as other ergonomic keyboards. It is not much wider than a laptop keyboard.

This makes it much more comfortable to use with a mouse.

With most keyboards, only a few keys can be pressed at a time, so they cannot keep up with very fast typing. The result is known as ghosting – letters that are missing from your actual input, or additional letters that you have not typed. The Ergo Pro has a special anti-ghosting circuit (also called N-key rollover) to eliminate these problems.
